Lakes Region Community College is located in Laconia, in the heart of the Lakes Region and adjacent to the Belknap Mountains and the Gunstock Ski Area. The college offers 28 associate degree programs in fields such as Marine Technology, Nursing, Energy Services, Media Arts, Culinary Arts, Automotive Technology and Health Information Management, as well as close to 40 certificate programs.
The Fire Science program at LRCC is the second largest in the country and operates in two 1,500-square foot fire science labs that opened in a new facility in 2014. Students in the program gain critical knowledge and skills in emergency medicine and fire science, an excellent combination in preparation for a career in the Fire Profession.
The Automotive Technology program, with options for training as a General Motors Certified Technician or in General Automotive Technology was started in 1991 and will soon be housed in a new $3.3 million Automotive Technology building.
